I am uncomfortable when friends post my son's picture to their FB walls. One in particular does not understand and will not change. Should librarians provide a privacy awareness aspect of all Web 2.0 training classes? Would this alleviate some of the concerns regarding public access to personal information?Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01611289078838289494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011758827207575414.post-48682069255480073112011-09-14T19:17:20.930-07:002011-09-14T19:17:20.930-07:00I completely agree with your statement that "...I completely agree with your statement that "if you're not hungry to learn, you shouldn't be a teacher, and you definitely shouldn't be a librarian" among other points you made. That really stuck out to me because I've recognized in the past that the best librarians and teachers I've known share that desire for learning and knowledge. It's disheartening to me when they don't have that characteristic. I also wanted to comment on your previous blog. I thought it was great that you acknowledged both your weaknesses and strengths. So often we just tell one or the other, usually weaknesses unfortunately, that it refreshing that you are also able to give yourself a pat on the back for what you are good and have achieved.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15994266800983653278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011758827207575414.post-88379869689479984292010-02-07T09:16:30.120-08:002010-02-07T09:16:30.120-08:00I had to laugh because I feel the same way. What is even worse is that I was talking with a librarian who said something about an "MLS" and I said, "What's that?" She looked at me and said, "Master's of Library Science." I was so embarrassed!!! Of course I knew what an MLS was...but I was so overwhelmed by all the acronyms that I had momentarily drawn a blank when she said it!priscilla johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18289317351798696518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9011758827207575414.post-20199095500167617132010-01-20T17:32:16.069-08:002010-01-20T17:32:16.069-08:00I can't wait to read about your server experie...I can't wait to read about your server experiences.
